        "Aydeeos".  Cut them all adrift with a modest supply of food and
water,
and leave them to themselves.  Period.  Nukes included.  The Israelis
would soon get the picture and give up on a losing proposition when it
dawned on them that Uncle Sam wasn't going to prop them up anymore, and
soon after that, the bloody Arabs would be reduced to hawking chintzy
relics in the religious tourist districts and scratching dates out of
the camel-shit, and that would be about that.

        That's the best I can do for you, Scott.  I know it's not pretty,
but
short of outright declaring Israel the 51st state, this thing is
hopeless.  I'm telling you.  I am not a religious man, but this thing is
the closest thing I ever saw to validation of prophecy, and it really is
time to think about that and pull the plug.

        Rubbish.  There isn't a drop of oil in the whole joint worth talking
about.

        In *that* aspect, we'd be a lot better off, even dealing with a
bunch
of creeps who stole Western oil technology from us to begin with.
